How it all started...
In the fall of 1963 six families worked together to establish McCook Christian Church. This small group of people was motivated to start a church that was patterned after the church of the New Testament. Trusting in Biblical truth to guide them this young church flourished, within their first year of existence had added several new families and begun construction on a new church building. There were certainly challenges over the years but the congregation endured

Expanding the vision...
In the early 1980’s an education wing was added to help meet
the needs of this growing congregation. By the late 1990’s the church had grown to the point where additional staff was needed and a second full-time staff member was added. In 2004 after years of planning, fund raising and praying the church relocated to its present facility, formerly known as the Hinky Dinky grocery store.

Where we are headed...
In 2019 in cooperation with the Indianola Christian Church, McCook Christian opened a second campus in Indianola, the Willow Christian Church. The church has continued to add staff, enlarge facilities and challenge people to follow Jesus. McCook Christian has been known through the years for a commitment to Biblical truth, a desire to show the love of Jesus by ministering to the community, a willingness to take risk for the glory of God’s kingdom, and a practice of helping people come to know and follow Jesus.
