Shadow of Futility

Even when you feel stuck in a “foreign land”—a job or life situation that seems futile—God calls you to settle in, build, plant, and seek the city’s well-being. Our everyday, seemingly “futile” work can carry eternal significance when done as part of God’s larger purpose.

The lie:  “Nothing I do really matters; it’s all pointless in the end.”

The truth:  God has prepared good works for us (Ephesians 2:10), and our labor in the Lord is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).
